Amanda and I have started taking piano lessons. We have been wanting to do this for quite a long time, but haven't been able to coordinate successfully. Recently, due to a shortage of piano players in our ward, the Bishop called one of the piano players in our ward to teach several of us. Amanda and I started taking lessons on April 2nd, and we will have lessons for nine months.
We are both doing really well for only one month of lessons so far. I had lessons for a little while eleven years ago, so I had a pretty good foundation to start with, but I am really impressed with how well Amanda is doing in such a short amount of time. We go over to the chapel almost every day to practice. We are trying to get a piano to have in our home (a church in Biola is trying to get rid of a piano that they don't use any more), but there is a line of about four people to get messages back and forth to, so we have not been able to get it yet. We are looking forward to that!
Here is Amanda playing Jingle Bells.
